William Thorsell on Global
Warming
Dear Editor,
Re: "Let's not be stampeded by the tentative science of global warming"
-- by William Thorsell -- May 23 -- Globe and Mail
William Thorsell's attack on the Kyoto Protocol is rather weak. As documented by
renowned climate scientist Fred Singer ( http://www.sepp.org// ), the Kyoto Protocol
is a total fraud. The UN manufactured the so-called "scientific consensus"
proclaiming that man-made global warming is a fact. The computer models used to support
the "consensus" are purposely rigged to grossly exaggerate the effect of
carbon dioxide on climate temperature. Actual data on temperature and storm frequencies
contradict the claims by global warming alarmists.
In response to this total fraud and blatant act of politicizing science, more than
18,000 basic and applied scientists have, to date, signed a petition against the
Kyoto Protocol, spearheaded by Frederick Seitz, a former president of the U.S. National
Academy of Sciences. ( http://zwr.oism.org/pproject/ ) A scientific article accompanying
this petition -- in addition to debunking the theory that rising carbon dioxide levels
are causing global warming -- demonstrates that the extra man-made carbon dioxide
in the atmosphere actually creates a greener planet.
Mr. Thorsell shouldn't be puzzled as to "why governments are resorting to doubtful
science [to embrace economically destructive policies]." He should know that
the environmental lobby is extremely powerful today -- thanks to newspapers like
the Globe and Mail which mostly swallowed and promoted the alarmist claims by the
environmentalists. (It wasn't too long ago that David Suzuki -- that mystic pretending
to be scientific -- was a Globe columnist!)
Sincerely,
Glenn Woiceshyn
