Deconstructing "Special Interest" Groups

Dear Editor,

Re: "Special-Interest Groups"--letter by Anne Hansen--Jul/15/94--The Globe and Mail

Anne Hansen attempted to deconstruct "special-interest groups" to a redundant phrase standing for everybody. A "special-interest" (or pressure) group is a group of people lobbying government to extort wealth and special powers from others, i.e., to violate our inalienable individual rights. Word play can't make them disappear -- only a proper constitution can, one which properly protects individual rights.

Sincerely,

Glenn Woiceshyn
