Canada's Brain Drain
Dear Editor,
Re: "Pulling Up Stakes" -- by Andrew Purvis -- May 11 -- Time Magazine
As a Canadian I'm glad talented Canadians are moving to the U.S. where they are better
rewarded for their talents. The fundamental cause of Canada's brain drain is its
socialistic-egalitarian policies which punish each according to ambition, ability,
productiveness and success -- necessarily yielding a lower standard of living. Brain
drains punish countries for such suicidal policies and reward countries that respect
more the individual's right to "life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness."
That's justice!
Sincerely,
